And in the morning I’M MAKING PIZZA. Wait, it’s waffles isn’t it…? Meh, either way we both woke up and decided pizza was the perfect breakfast option today. While we love a different pizza every now and then, we wanted to keep this one pretty simple. That being said, a breakfast sausage pizza was the final decision!

If you’re looking for a few other pizza options (whether they’re for breakfast or not), please check out my homemade two cheese vodka sauce pizza or brussels sprouts pizza recipes! I recommend purchasing a vegetable chopper (here’s the one I have from Amazon) to speed up the preparation process!

A breakfast pizza served on homemade dough.
- 3 Tbsp Butter melted
- 3 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese finely powdered
- Dash Ground Pepper
- Dash Garlic Powder
- Dash Salt optional
- 1 Package Sausage browned and broken up
- 3 Eggs
- 3 Onion Rings raw
- Sprinkle Green Onions
- Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 Tbsp Jalapenos finely diced
- Cheddar Cheese
- Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese
- Avocado optional
-
Melt the butter and mix all ingredients together in a measuring cup or bowl.
-
Add the sausage to a pan and brown. Chop up as the sausage browns. Be sure not to cook 100% as the sausage will cook in the oven as well. Reserve some of the grease.
-
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and place your pan(s) in the oven while the oven preheats.
-
Use my dough recipe linked above (must be made 24+ hours in advance).
-
Once the dough is rolled out, carefully place one pizza on the preheated pan and use a brush to brush the garlic olive oil mixture all over the pizza and crust. Don’t be stingy as this is the sauce of this pizza!
-
Once the sauce is evenly spread, add the cheddar cheese (or cheese of your choice) and sprinkle evenly (leave three open circles for the eggs).
-
Place the onion rings over the 3 open circles (we will add the eggs halfway through baking).
-
Top with sausage, red pepper flakes, jalapenos, green onions, and any other toppings of your choice.
-
Sprinkle a little more cheese over the toppings (optional).
-
Place in the oven for 6-7 minutes and remove quickly to add the eggs.
-
Add the eggs within each of the onion rings and place back into oven for another 6-7 minutes (remove once the crust and the cheese are golden and crispy & eggs are cooked, but yolky).
-
Top with avocado to complete the breakfast look!
