After scrolling through pages and pages on Instagram, I found a recipe from CleanEatsByTay that I ended up tweaking just a tad, but her original recipe can be found here. Super easy and healthy if you’re looking for a quick meal. I changed the recipe a little bit by adding extra olive oil, red pepper flakes, and using parsley instead of basil.
Pasta makes my heart (and belly) happy, which is why I love Banza Pasta because I feel a whole lot less guilty eating knowing my meal is packed with protein, fiber, and less carbs! Not only is the pasta much healthier, but this homemade avocado sauce provides you with healthy fats and a mouthful of deliciousness. Give this a whirl and let me know what you think in the comments below.
Creamy and pesto like sauce.
- 1 Avocado
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Almond Milk
- Sprinkle of Dried Parsley Flakes
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes or more if you like the heat
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Pepper
- Sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning For garnishing
- Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese Finely Grated
Cook pasta (I use Banza) according to package directions.
Mash the avocado until smooth. Mix in the rest of the ingredients until evenly combined.
Drain pasta and pour back into pot over low heat. Pour in the sauce and mix until pasta is evenly coated.
Top with Parmesan and Everything Bagel Seasoning!
