Banana bread is one of my favorite sweets! Why?! Because it’s not overly sweet and I try and pretend it’s actually healthy since there’s real fruit inside. One can only dream…right? While I’ve made healthier version of banana bread before (click here for recipe) I wanted to indulge. The recipe below is one of my favorites! Rather than a chalky banana bread texture, this sweet comes out moist and full of flavor.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Sugar Coconut Sugar works too!
- 1 Tbsp Honey or maple syrup
- 1/3 Cup Apple Sauce
- 2 Egg Whites
- 2 Tbsp Unsweetened Original Almond Milk
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- Dash Cinnamon
- 1 3/4 Cup Flour Regular, Oat, or Almond Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 3 Large Ripe Mashed Bananas
- 3/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chip Morsels
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together dry ingredients in separate bowl (aside from choc. Chips)

Combine the sugar, apple sauce, and almond milk together in a bowl and mix.

Slowly add in the egg whites one at a time and then fold in the dry ingredients.

Add the mashed bananas to the mixture and mix.

Add in the chocolate chips and mix one last time.

Spray or butter a baking dish (I used a brownie pan for these).

Pour mixture and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove, let cool, and top with peanut butter or desired toppings!
