Personally I think that pretzels ruin Chex mix. I always throw the bag out once there is nothing left but the pretzels at the bottom of the bag. Sorry fam.
Decided to randomly experiment with a few ingredients one day and this recipe turned out to be one of my favorites when I’m in the mood for something salty.
If you don't like Ranch, that's ok. I've never liked Ranch but these pretzels are so delicious! The Ranch seasoning packs the pretzels with plenty of flavor.
- 16 oz bag of Rold Gold pretzels
- 1 package Ranch dressing powder
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil OR ¼ cup of melted butter and ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 lemon juice
Preheat oven to 275°
Pour the bag of pretzels into a large mixing bowl.
Mix the olive oil (or butter mixture) with the Ranch dressing powder, parsley flakes, and parmesan. Lemon is optional. Pour the mixture over the bowl of pretzels and gently mix until evenly coated. Let’s the pretzels absorb the mixture for 30-45 minutes.
Pour the pretzels onto lightly sprayed cooking sheets (the less overlap the better). Bake pretzels for 20-25 minutes.
Let cool & enjoy!
For someone who doesn’t love ranch… I sure do love these pretzels!
