Green smoothies! Strawberry banana smoothies are my go to but I felt the need to change it up a bit! Kiwis, pears, and apples were a few straggler items laying around our kitchen this morning. Rather than freeze them (and completely forget I have them months down the line when they’re covered in frost bite) I decided to whip up a creamy green smoothie.
I tried to use a few fruits that would balance out the acidity and added Greek yogurt for a creamy texture.
A creamy green smoothie with a little chia crunch.
- 2 Kiwi Ripe
- 1 Honey Crisp Apple option to use Granny Smith Apple
- 1 Bartlett Pear Ripe
- 1 5.3 oz Plain Greek Yogurt optional
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds + more for topping
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened Original Almond Milk
- 8 Ice cubes
- 1 cup Spinach Leaves
Cut the fruit into quarters or halves and toss into a blender with the rest of the ingredients (except spinach).
Blend until smooth.
Add spinach and blend until smooth again.
Remove from blender and enjoy!
