Healthy Protein Banana Pancakes

“Make you banana pancakes, pretend like it’s the weekend now…” I’ve never made pancakes without that song playing over and over in my head. Shout out to Jack Johnson for those catchy lyrics! Those lyrics have also inspired me to whip up some protein pancakes today.

These pancakes are packed with protein (that’s a lot of p’s in once sentence) and are super easy to make! Perfect for those days when you’re trying to eat a little healthier or simply when you run out of pancake mix. I personally notice that I feel more full and satisfied throughout the day after eating these rather than original pancakes.

Soft and fluffy pancakes packed with protein.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Oats ground
  • 1 scoop Vanilla or Chocolate Protein Powder brand of your choice
  • Dash Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 small-medium Banana ripe
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg White
  • Butter for greasing
Instructions
  1. Pour all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. 

  2. Place 1 Tbsp of butter on the pan over low-medium heat and allow to melt.
  3. Once the butter is foaming, pour the pancake mixture into sizes of your choice.
  4. Flip once bubbles start appearing on the top half and remove once both sides are golden brown.
  5. Top with syrup, peanut butter, or a topping of your choice!
Recipe Notes

Option to make one large pancake or a few small pancakes using the recipe above. Double or triple the ingredients if you're cooking for a larger crowd!
