Tuscan avocado toast me, please. I’ve already posted a basic Over(easy) Avocado toast recipe but I couldn’t help but share this new one! Millenials, you better be careful because if you keep spending money on avocado toast at restaurants you won’t be able to afford a home! Ha, just kidding. That’s probably one of the most stereotypical phrases i’ve heard from people outside of the millenial generation. To an extent I do agree because restaurants overcharge for this item in order to make a profit…but that’s business.
This new recipe was inspired by the necessity to clean out our fridge before we headed out of town. I used to just toss out ingredients in our fridge but I’ve started freezing things now rather than wasting food. Garlic and parmesan are two of my favorite ingredients that I love tossing together, especially if it’s being paired with avocado and sourdough bread (or bread in general let’s be honest).
Anyway, i’ve had avocado toast multiple times at multiple places but this may honestly be my new favorite toast. It’s cheap (as long as avocado prices aren’t skyrocketing), easy, and rather tasty for such a simple recipe.
Soft, crispy, and the perfect touch of garlic.
- 1 Slice Tuscan Bread or Sourdough
- 1/2 Avocado ripe & mashed
- 1 Tbsp Butter
- 1.5 tsp Garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
Toast the bread until golden brown or crispy.
Spread the butter and allow to melt.
Spread the garlic over the butter.
Sprinkle 1 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese.
Add the mashed avocado to the toast.
Add the rest of the parmesan cheese and everything bagel seasoning.
