They should just call today St. Chocolate’s Day! I went to buy holiday colored M&M’s and dark chocolate morsels and a couple of stores were completely sold out. I figured chocolate was worth the trek so I ran to a few other stores nearby and grabbed what I needed (aka…wanted). Puppy chow is that dessert that once I start I honestly cannot stop! Ingredients
- 1 box Corn Chex
- ¾ cup Peanut Butter I use Trader Joe's Creamy Organic
- 1 cup Dark Chocolate Morsels option to add more based on preference
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar option to add more but I feel as if there is enough sugar
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions
-
Melt the chocolate, vanilla extract, and peanut butter together on low heat in a saucepan. Option to microwave instead, but I suggest melting the chocolate first.
-
Pour mixture over the Chex and gently mix until evenly coated.
-
Place the puppy chow mixture into a large brown bag or Ziploc bag and pour in the powdered sugar in batches. Close the bag and shake until the chow is evenly coated.
-
Add in M&M's or any other preferred chex mix ingredients & enjoy!
